Who is behind this site
The site tipsforpublicspeaking.net itself is the operator and is responsible for the little data described here. You can reach it at hello@tipsforpublicspeaking.net for any question or request.
Ticks, points and timers
The countdown, the tick boxes, the points you type, the stopwatch and the breathing circle all run in your own browser. Your ticks and your last time choice are saved in your browser so they are still there next time; the points you type are not saved at all. None of it is sent to us.
Visit statistics
We never ask for your name or email. A short script reports that a page was opened, which site referred you, how far you scrolled, whether the app links were on screen and whether one was tapped. It includes your browser language, the kind of device, screen and window size, your time zone and a random ID stored in your browser, so a return visit can be told apart from a new one. Your country is estimated from your IP address; the address itself is not stored with the statistics.
Who processes them
The statistics travel through this site's own server to an analytics provider that stores them in the European Union. They only tell us which parts of the page are useful. They are never sold or shared with advertisers.
Cookies and storage
This site uses no cookies. Your browser holds the random ID, a visit marker that runs out after thirty idle minutes, your ticks, your last time choice and, if you close it, the hidden state of the small bar at the bottom. Deleting this site's data in your browser wipes all of it. With scripts blocked, the tips still show and nothing is counted.
The app links
App links lead to /loosen-up on this site. That step only reads your browser's user agent: an Android phone is sent to Confidently on Google Play, with the link's position on the page added as a referrer, and every other device goes to Confidently on Apple's App Store. Nothing is logged there. Once you reach a store, its privacy terms and the app's apply.
Your rights
Email us and we will erase what is tied to your random ID. As nothing here knows who you are, clearing the site data in your browser ends the link right away.
